Brewer John Hathaway and assistant Aaron do a great job brewing house recipes as well as creating new beers (and new beer styles for that matter).

The brewers are somewhat limited with the beers they brew, because a few of the recipes are consistent with all the Steelhead breweries.  The brewers do a good job adding their own personalities to the brews, as well as creating new beers.

Steelhead San Francisco won a bronze medal at the 2000 GABF for their McGilligan's Scotch Ale (a 3 hour boil - get it?).  Yeah John and Adam (previous assistant)!
