Speakeasy
is a production brewery located on the southern edge of the city.
There is no bar, but Speakeasy hosts many parties at the brewery where
everyone is welcome to come in and enjoy several pints.
The brewery was kicked out of its original home. The Downtown Rehearsal Studio building was bought and plans were to demolish the building and build lofts. So needless to say, many musicians were homeless, and Speakeasy was too. But they luckily found a new home on Evans Street at Third - still right here in San Francisco. It is located at 1195 Evans at Keith, on the south side of Evans, just east of 3rd street. They are also hosting the Friday night Giants pre-game barbeques again, so head down to the brewery and check it out. Check their site for the schedule. To get to the brewery, you need to be heading East on Evans, past 3rd Street. After about 5 blocks, you will see a sign for Keith Street. Take a right and a quick left into the parking lot. There aren't any signs that say Speakeasy, so check the address and head in. It's the first building on Keith Street - on the South East corner. Speakeasy bottles six packs that are available in stores. They are also on tap at many bars and restaurants around the city. |
