is closed!
The brewery closed its doors on Sunday, March 31, 2002. It was very sad to see the place go. It was one of the great breweries of San Francisco I will leave all the information here for everyone to see.
Potrero Brewing Company is a great brewery/restaurant located between the Mission district and Potrero Hill. It features two full bars, two huge sun decks, and four pool tables upstairs. It is located in the sun belt of San Francisco so it is always sunny and warm in the day time. Afternoons afford spectacular views of the fog rolling in over Twin Peaks. Beer styles range from Pilsener to Stout and everything in between. Potrero does many specialty beers throughout the year. Beers such as Primator define new styles. Beers like the Wheat win gold medals at the California State Fair. The Barley Wine won a bronze at the Toronado barley wine festival last year. Look for the Pilsener to win gold at many events this year. The Winter Wunder IPA (8% 90 BU's)(sold out in two weeks) might also be poised to medal. The brewery produces about 1000 barrels a year. Specials: $2 Tuesdays - $2 pints all day. Happy hour 3:30 to 6:30 Monday through Friday - $2.50 pints. Potrero Brewing Company is located at 535 Florida between 18th and Mariposa. 415-552-1967.
